Director of Photography, Josh Saideman, was born in London, England and raised just outside of New York City where he discovered his love for the arts. This diverse upbringing and artistic melting pot laid the groundwork for what would eventually become a love of cinematography and a passion for crafting bold and emotionally engaging imagery.
Josh recently shot the feature film ‘The Late Night Creep’ directed by Jamal Dedeaux, starring Leslie Jones, Jason Mitchell, Jake Choi, Siddiq Saunderson and Paula Jai Parker which will be released in 2025.
Josh has shot hundreds of commercials and music videos for a variety of clients including Apple, Budweiser, Fifa World Cup, KFC, Netflix, Billie Eilish, Welch’s, Imagine Dragons, Lebron James, Gatorade, Captain Morgan, Rémy Martin, Rita Ora, J. Cole, Mercedes-Benz, Delta, Jack Harlow, Big Sean, Lil Wayne, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, and Becky G.
In 2019, Josh shot J. Cole and Dreamville’s ‘Down Bad’ music video which was included in Vibe Magazine’s ‘Top 25 Music Videos of 2019’ at #8 and nominated for ‘Best Rap Performance’ at the 2020 Grammy Awards. He has also shot multiple award-winning short films including, fashion film, ‘Dimensions’ which premiered at Tribeca Film Festival in 2024.
In 2021, Josh signed with Murtha Skouras Agency for global representation. Commercially, Josh has shot campaigns that have won Telly, Addy and D&AD awards.
Josh got his start by being a member of IATSE Local 479 which allowed him to work as a lighting technician on large sets. He has done some 1st Unit Grip work on 'The Divergent Series: Insurgent,' 'Red Band Society,' 'Powers,' 'The Originals' and 'Hindsight' and believes that his technical lighting experience has largely impacted his Cinematography work.
Josh is well-versed in a broad range of productions including narrative films, commercials, music videos, documentaries and anything else which requires compelling visual storytelling.
